After installing AndroidStudio, JDK, Android SDK, ANT and setting up the necessary environment in windows 7, Visual Studio 2010 returns error as below:
The add-in 'visual studio addin for android ver 1.0' failed to load or cuased an exception.
Would you like to remove this Add-in?
If you choose yes, the file was loaded from 'C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\VisualStudio\8.0\\Addns\AndroidDotNet.AddIn' will be renamed.Error Message: The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. 800736b1

Are you using VS-Android?
What version of Visual Studio you are using? Many times I hear from people saying VS-Android only works with VS Express 2010.
Frankly speaking this issue has nothing to do with Visual Studio and .Net. I am sure there is some installation issue of this Add-In or known issue as the controls lies on Add-in not on visual studio platform.
I would request you to post your question to the Add-In product’s forum i.e. for

Hi Lingaraj, Thanks for the reply.
I am new to Android development, I was searching for a Framework which I could use to develop Android Apps using Visual Studio. I have found Monodroid (which cost $$) and AndroidStudio from http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KYAC66l_2H0
I am using Visual Studio Professional 2010. I am not sure where the problem lies, I have searching for the solution.
Thanks.
