E-mail message missing when tracked in CRM RRS feed

  • Hey guys,

    Something weird is happening. I have e-mails missing in CRM. I have it tracked to Company ABC but it's not showing up in CRM under Company ABC and I don't know where it is. Outlook is showing that it's being tracked in CRM. Also portions of e-mail tracked in CRM are missing. Any thoughts?

    Which is the message size? Does it have attachments?

    Did you tried untracking and tracking again?

  • Hello, can you provide a little bit more information about your system? Like: what update rollup is installed, are you using the CRM e-mail router or CRM for Outlook for tracking email? If you're using CRM for Outlook, what update rollup is installed? Is it only happening for you or all users? Do you have a CRM system administrator security role? Can you replicate the issue, if so what are the steps? Does the account have an e-mail address? Do any other records (accounts, contacts or leads) also have this e-mail address?

  • Any tracked email should show up in Workplace-Activities. From here you can see what it is associated to/if the email is being resolved etc.

  • Select the View Regarding from the e-mail in Outlook and you can see the record that the email is associated to in CRM.  I'll assume you used the Set Regarding when tracking the e-mail since you stated that the e-mail was tracked under Company ABC.
