How do I search for a file in TFS using Team Foundation Server Power Tools 2015? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have repeatedly seen recommendations of Team Foundation Server Power Tools 2015 as an extension of Visual Studio 2015 that would allow me to search in TFS without checking out the entire repository.

I have installed the extension, but I can't find any new buttons or speed menu options releated to searching. The regular search (ctrl+f) widget has not changed either. How do I use this feature?

  • Hi Syndary1,

    Welcome to the MSDN forum.

It seems your issue is about the TFS and our forum is to discuss the VS IDE, per this announcement and we can report a problem with TFS itself on Developer Community, provide a suggestion on UserVoice, get advice on Stack Overflow, and get support on TFS Support, thank you for your understanding.

    Best regards,
