Ability to search My Threads

Question

It would be nice when in My Threads, to be able to search for a particular topic in only those I have responded to, not the entire Forum.Sunday, September 6, 2009 2:32 AM

Use Google. Make the query look like this:
site:microsoft.com/forums/en-us +jwavila
Add search terms as needed.

Thanks Hans
although it really would be nice to have some more functionality in our own threads right here on the Forum.
And also a link to our bookmarks right on our Profile page.Tuesday, September 8, 2009 4:40 AM -
Yes, it would be nice when they switch to Google for their search engine. I doubt that will happen soon. Bookmarks are dead, they soon will be removed. If that didn't happen already, end of last month, I thought.

Thanks for the follow-up, Hans
wasn't expecting it.
so will they switch to Google, now that MS has released BING ?
And no more tagged threads, huh? I liked that so I could tag a thread to easily come back to later if it had specific info I wanted to review.
is there any other mechanism, since the tags are going away, to mark certain threads for easy retrieval?Wednesday, September 9, 2009 2:48 PM -
No. Tags and bookmarks are two different things.

I agree - we should be able to easily search for our own posts -- without having to always put some Tag or token in the post to search on.
