How do I connect to a mysql database in Visual Web Developer 2010 express? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I've installed MySQL.  Trying to connect, I right-click on my website in Solution Explorer and choose "Add an item...".  That's about as far as I get.  I've tried adding a couple of MySql DLL files as resources but I think I'm on the wrong track.  After "Add an item...", I don't know where to go.  Advise me?

  • Hello,

    Thank you for your post.

I am afraid that the issue is out of support range of VS General Question forum which mainly discusses WPF & SL designer, Visual Studio Guidance Automation Toolkit, Developer Documentation and Help System and Visual Studio Editor.

About how to use a MySQL database in an ASP.NET website, I suggest that you can consult your issue on ASP.NET forum: http://forums.asp.net/  for better solution and support.

    Best regards,
