CRM 2011 lookup items prevent from Add or Delete by normal user

  Remove create/delete permission for respective entity from security role. you can also write plugin to stop it as well.

  Hi Jane,

  You can remove the "Append" and "Append To" permissions to stop users from selecting anything in a lookup or removing any existing value from it.

  Say you have an entity A which has a lookup of entity B. So you need to remove "Append" from entity A and "Append To" from entity B.
