existing subscription and renewing with new purchased disc

I just purchased a new one care disc and my current subscription will be running out in a month. I'm wondering if I need to cancel my current subscription to install my new disc or can i just install the disc. I like having a disc to update my software in case something would happen to my computer and would need to reboot.

Hello Mountnman, don't cancel your current subscription, don't uninstall One Care, and don't use the CD. All the CD does is launch your browser and connect to the One Care download site.
