post installation issue with Beta Project server 2010 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I installed Sharepoint 2010 beta and Project server 2010 Beta on a Windows 2008 server with separate 2008 server with SQL 2008 full install on it. Everything went ok, including creating the main site, everything works until I added a PWA site to the sharepoint site collection. SPAdmin states that the project server databases are old and cannot be used. I get similar error messages in the Application Event Viewer.

I tried numerous things, like recreating the PWA site, creating a PWA site under a new name. Does anyone hknow how to update the project server database which are provided so that they are the same verison as what they should be?

    Thanks in advance,

  • Hi Roderik,

I have seen this and usually it indicates an upgrader job did not run/finish.  The best way to resolve this is:

    1.  Delete the PWA instance you have created
    2.  Run psconfig -cmd upgrade -inplace b2b
    3.  Provision a new PWA site.

As step 2 is asynchronous you should leave a few minutes between the steps.  Let me know if this works for you.

    Best regards,
