Mesh is using 3 x memory used by dropbox, moe.exe 25MB, moemonitor.exe 12MB, dropbox 14MB

i started playing with mesh. it's good but is a memory hog. the one problem is that it is using 3 x memory used by dropbox, moe.exe 25MB, moemonitor.exe 12MB, dropbox 14MB. is there a way to make this smaller? 37MB is a LOT of RAM for a file sync program.Saturday, December 5, 2009 9:50 PM

There is no way to reduce that memory footprint. I would suspect that the Live Mesh team is working to optimize this usage, but I don't personally see that as being excessive.

Except when running a netbook with XP and 1 gig of ram. Then it is definitely a resource hog. I switched back to Windows Live sync because the Mesh memory footprint pushed swap file usage way up on the little machine. No problems on my main machine with a quad core and 3 gigs of ram. A great program in every other respect. Just hard on my low powered devices that I wanted to keep in sync. At least you have options like "Windows Live sync" to fall back on. Not as many features, but a small memory footprint and very reliable.Thursday, March 11, 2010 3:32 PM

I'm just looking at MOE.exe in task manager and it's on 82MB of RAM and using about 60 - 70% of CPU... !!!! Err what? Computer seems ot be running ok, though a bit sluggish.Saturday, April 17, 2010 1:39 PM -
