Unfortunately, your tech guy appears to have made a hash of the install of Office. I suspect that the problem is that he did not first properly remove the old install.
Your best option now would be to remove all Office installations, then run the MS FixIt Utility in  this MS KB http://support.microsoft.com/kb/903275 article to delete the Office license file. (or follow the instructions for manual deletion)
reboot at least twice, then reinstall your copy of Office.

Note that your copy of Windows is also showing as using an Invalid Product Key - meaning that the key was never issued by MS, and was instead generated by a hacker's KeyGen tool. You need to get that genuine at the same time.
Since you say that this is a new computer, and it appears to be a 'home-build/mom-and-pop store build' - I would recommend returning it and demanding a full refund, as it appears that your vendor is selling counterfeit copies of Windows pre-installed. Threats of police action, and informing MS of his fraud should be sufficient to ensure that the refund is forthcoming, or at the least that they install legal versions of Windows and Office on your machine.
