pass login and password from web application to crm 4 for login RRS feed

  • Hi everyone,

    Here's my requirement:

    1) We have users on an external domain that do not have a computer on our office domain that login to crm

    2) So we want to create an external web application where there credentials can be checked for password expiry, locked account etc.

    So my question is can we we send the users login and password from this web app to crm 4 login screen without having them to enter it again?

    Please let me know if I do not make sense. Thanks!

    Why you don't implement IFD in your organization? Like that they can enter without connect to domain. Take a look in this articles:

    Other option is your users access via VPN. The option you gave i think you can't implement.

    IFD is not the solution for us. Already the users have external domain login n password and use vpn to get on the office network. Let's see if anyone else has a solution for me. Thanks.

  • Not sure if there is more to your requirements but for "external web application where there credentials can be checked for password expiry, locked account etc."

    If you were to create a page, that accepted user/password - the code could try to connect to CRM via the API and if it failed you would get a yes or no...it would not have visibility to the reason why it failed e.g bad password or expired
