cannot see enterprise custom fields to add to project detail pages RRS feed

    I have seen number of articles talk about adding custom fields to project detail pages.  However, when I add a new project detail page, add the webpart and click modify to see the fields to add to the page, none of my enterprise custom fields show up.  They do not appear in the list for me to add them to the page.  Is this not possible?  We want to add these as part of a workflow approval process. 

    (If I can add them in some way, does the data get stored in the fields within the project so I can report on them with an excel services report?)

    Hi Cletus,

    good, that you gave the screenshots :-)

    "Reporting Lead" is a custom field of entity Task.

    You can only use Project custom fields on a PDP. That is the reason why you do not get it in the list.

    Hi

    can you add NO fields or only NO CUSTOM fields?

    The data filled into the custom field will be stored in the database and you can Report on them. Easiest way will probably to use the MSP_EPMProject_UserView from the Reporting database. This contains all Project custom fields (apart from multi-value fields)

    I don't see any of the enterprise custom fields to pick from.  Here is what I do...  I go to server settings, project detail pages, open one of pages, then put the page in edit mode and click on edit webpart.  Then, I click modify.  When I do, you will notice in the pic below, I do not see Reporting Lead (an enterprise custom field) for me to add to the page.  The second pic below shows the actual enterprise fields screen and you can see Reporting Lead is an enterprise custom field.
