Migrating existing software service to Azure RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We have a typical 4-tier software service (client- connector - server - DB). Client and connector are in c# and server in c++. We're considering moving the connector and server and DB to Azure. In current model, there's one connector running and several server instances connected to the connector. Clients login to the connector, send requests and get responses through the connector. Connector handles logins in a round robin fashion and dish out a client to one of the server instances. Server instances are stateful in that it has the clients' computing specification and calculates constantly and pushes results to clients throughout the day.  We like to move the entire server side to Azure with as little effort as possible. We may need to rewrite the connector using the infrastructure provided with Azure. We're seeking expert advice. Thank you in advance.
