  • Additionally, it would be nice if they could make the manuals available online.

  • If OCS 2007 is truly RTM as per http://blogs.technet.com/uc/archive/tags/Office+Communications+Server/default.aspx, the MSDN download should be available immediately.  Early access for development is one of the main reasons why I pay for a Premium subscription.

  • Anyone have an update on when the product will be available to download? After calling my rep, it said 3-4 days after the 27 july. Hopefully it's today or tomorow.

  • I just got confirmation that it is not available yet. I will have a link later this week or possibly on Monday, and I will post it here as soon as I have it.

  • Thanks Thom.  I'm feeling better about it now.  Need to have some applications ready and tested with RTM by the Official Release in October.

  • You can download the trail version of OCS 2007.

    OCS 2007: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=663e5ef7-2288-46b0-9142-b2135a8fbdb9&DisplayLang=en

Unfortunately you can't upgrade the trail version to a OCS MSDN version.

  • I was told that the public beta is going to expire in September. When in September? At the beginning or at the end? Because we need to present OCS functionalities in September I really need a version that will not have any limitations of expiry dates..

How long is this trail version going to be valid?

  • The trail version works for 180 days. After that you can upgrade to a full version via a Retail or Volume license.

  • Ok. That's clear. We will re-install the OCS components in our environment using the evaluation software.

Any hints/best practises to migrate the users from the public beta version to the evaluation version? I remember there was some documentation on how to migrate between beta versions.

Can we re-use the RTC accounts in the AD from the public beta?

Is it advisable to re-use certificates?

Or should we start with a clean install and import user settings later?

The trial version expires after 180 days. If you need a full version, you'll probably need to wait till it's on MSDN.

  • Is there any difference between the Trial Version 3.0.6362 and the MSDN version?  Are the builds the same?

  • Strange no Standard Edition. Just to a note, I was talking with my rep. He told me the MVLS version will be available for download the 1st september.

  • I see the following in my server log:

"The service will expire in 15 days. Obtain the released version of this product and upgrade to the non-evaluation version by running setup.exe. "

The public beta is expiring in september AND NOT after 180 of installation.
