FilteredViews, VS2005 report builder and CRM accounts RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all

I'm creating some custom reports within VS2005 to eventually deploy to the CRM box. I can set up a data connection to the CRM datasource just fine.

for the account for the connection I've
     1) created a domain account to run run reports
     2) added this account to SQLServer/CrmInstance which has (pretty much) SA permissions.
     3) added this user to the CRM users with Sys Admin roles.

while building reports in VS2005, this account can query the DynamicsCRM tables and standard views just fine, but not the filtered views (no error, just no data returned).

is there a (4)th step I've missed to get this going?

    many thanks

  • never mind.

to retrieve data for reports from VS2005 I had to use integrated windows authentication, not specify the credentials in the dataset connection (this is in addition to logging on to the development machine and domain with that account).

    sorry for the noize...
