Blue Ray Burning with Windows 7 Explorer - Speed question RRS feed

  • Question

  • I just  burned a Blue Ray disc using Windows Explorer.  I selected this method when I put the disc in the burner, the second choice (not the USB-type choice).  My compilation was about 35 GB, on a 50 GB disk.  I found it strange that "copying" the files into the folder of the burner drive took close to 3 hours, but from the time I hit Burn, it took about half an hour.  I thought it was the *burning* which takes a long time.  Would appreciate it if someone could explain what exactly was happening.

Also, when I get pop-ups telling me there are files waiting to be burned, and to click on the notice balloon, by the time my cursor gets to the "balloon," it's gone.  Is there a way to get to these files without inserting a disk?

And how do I ignore and/or delete these files from the burn cue?

    Thanks.
