When i try to run validate, it says that my copy isn't "real", and i haven't passed the test.

I think i found the problem. A little, very old, program i installed named RC Helicopter. When i try to uninstall it, it tells me that i haven't got the rigth 32/64 bit software, and i is unable to uninstall.

Then i try to systemreform (im not a master in english, so i dont know if it is systemreform. But the thing where you set back your computer, to a certain place.). But it can't, it says that there is a problem in the writer. error: (0x800423F3)

Please help me? I want to have the opportunity for aero back!

  • Hello Excile,

Can you tell me what error code you get (if any) when you validate by clicking "Validate Windows" here: www.microsoft.com/genuine
The error code will be gray and in brackets at the end of the message on the page that says validation failed.  (It'll look something like this:  [0xC004C000]).

Also, it looks like your issue goes beyond validation since when you've tried system restore you say you get error code (0x800423F3).  This error code seems to be specific to system restore and from what I can see might not happen again if you try it again.  Have you gotten this error more than once?

    Thank you!
