Error when sending email to a user in a higher business unit RRS feed

  • In CRM 2011, when a user sends a tracked email to another user in a higher BU, they receive the following message: You do not have enough privileges to access the Microsoft Dynamics CRM object or perform the requested operation. Do you want to send the email? If you click Yes, the email will be sent out, but no corresponding activity will be created in CRM. The user is able to send a tracked email to someone in their Business unit without any messages.


    I checked the security role and user has Org level Read, Append and Append To access for Queue, Business Unit, Organization, and User. What privilege would the role be missing? Thanks!

    What access right does it have for that UserRole for the user in question for the ActivityPointer Entity ??

    Access to the Activity Entity is full org create, read, write, append and append to.
