Resolution of backup problems RRS feed

  • The backup of one of my systems failed when it encountered a disk problem, and gave a weak suggestion to try running chkdsk /f to fix it.  This did resolve the issue so that the system could later be backed up, but I suggest it would be better if the connector software could deal with this problem by:

    1)  Ideally, backing up those files that did not have a problem

    2)  Automatically scheduling chkdsk /f for the next startup.

  • Running "chkdsk /f" can result in data loss, if you have certain file system problems. I would not want any tool scheduling it to run automatically.
