Hi Victoriage and sb.0326,
I had another thread regarding this (or a very simillare) issue. We found that the below steps resolved that person's issue. Please give it a try and tell me if how it works:
1) Click Start button.
2) Type: CMD.exe into the 'Search programs and files' field
3) Right-Click on CMD.exe and select 'Run as Administrator'
4) Type: net stop sppsvc (It may ask you if you are sure, select yes)
Note: the Software Protection servive may not be running, this is ok.
5) Type: cd %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareProtectionPlatform
6) Type: rename tokens.dat tokens.bar
7) Type: cd %windir%\system32
8) Type: net start sppsvc
9) Type: slui.exe
10) After a couple of seconds Windows Activation dialog will appear. You may be asked to re-activate and/or re-enter your product key or Activation may occur automatically.
Thank you,

I'm actually having the same exact problem. Event viewer says something about the "License policy-cache has expired because it was not updated within expected duration." Why does it keep doing this, happens everyday. Is it perhaps because I have the Security Center Service stopped?Diagnostic Report (1.9.0011.0):-----------------------------------------WGA Data-->Validation Status: GenuineValidation Code: 0Cached Validation Code: N/A, hr = 0xc004f012Windows Product Key: *****-*****-C8KJ3-JB346-4D8C7Windows Product Key Hash: el01dLi+kdpxr3f92g2LKCNSSGE=Windows Product ID: 00359-OEM-8702065-33622Windows Product ID Type: 3Windows License Type: OEM System BuilderWindows OS version: 6.1.7600.2.00010300.0.0.003ID: {8A42418C-7F4C-40F3-BEAA-39139CA91AAF}(3)Is Admin: YesTestCab: 0x0WGA Version: N/A, hr = 0x80070002Signed By: N/A, hr = 0x80070002Product Name: Windows 7 Home PremiumArchitecture: 0x00000009Build lab: 7600.win7_rtm.090713-1255TTS Error:Validation Diagnostic:Resolution Status: N/AWgaER Data-->ThreatID(s): N/A, hr = 0x80070002Version: N/A, hr = 0x80070002WGA Notifications Data-->Cached Result: N/A, hr = 0x80070002File Exists: NoVersion: N/A, hr = 0x80070002WgaTray.exe Signed By: N/A, hr = 0x80070002WgaLogon.dll Signed By: N/A, hr = 0x80070002OGA Notifications Data-->Cached Result: N/A, hr = 0x80070002Version: N/A, hr = 0x80070002OGAExec.exe Signed By: N/A, hr = 0x80070002OGAAddin.dll Signed By: N/A, hr = 0x80070002OGA Data-->Office Status: 109 N/AOGA Version: N/A, 0x80070002Signed By: N/A, hr = 0x80070002Office Diagnostics: 025D1FF3-364-80041010_025D1FF3-229-80041010_025D1FF3-230-1_025D1FF3-517-80040154_025D1FF3-237-80040154_025D1FF3-238-2_025D1FF3-244-80070002_025D1FF3-258-3Browser Data-->Proxy settings: N/AUser Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Win32)Default Browser: C:\Users\Phantom\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exeDownload signed ActiveX controls: PromptDownload unsigned ActiveX controls: DisabledRun ActiveX controls and plug-ins: AllowedInitialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe: DisabledAllow scripting of Internet Explorer Webbrowser control: DisabledActive scripting: AllowedScript ActiveX controls marked as safe for scripting: AllowedFile Scan Data-->Other data-->Office Details: <GenuineResults><MachineData><UGUID>{8A42418C-7F4C-40F3-BEAA-39139CA91AAF}</UGUID><Version>1.9.0011.0</Version><OS>6.1.7600.2.00010300.0.0.003</OS><Architecture>x64</Architecture><PKey>*****-*****-*****-*****-4D8C7</PKey><PID>00359-OEM-8702065-33622</PID><PIDType>3</PIDType><SID>S-1-5-21-834136003-557489432-1443999669</SID><SYSTEM><Manufacturer>System manufacturer</Manufacturer><Model>System Product Name</Model></SYSTEM><BIOS><Manufacturer>American Megatrends Inc.</Manufacturer><Version>1701 </Version><SMBIOSVersion major="2" minor="5"/><Date>20091126000000.000000+000</Date></BIOS><HWID>4FBB3607018400FA</HWID><UserLCID>0409</UserLCID><SystemLCID>0409</SystemLCID><TimeZone>Eastern Standard Time(GMT-05:00)</TimeZone><iJoin>0</iJoin><SBID><stat>3</stat><msppid></msppid><name></name><model></model></SBID><OEM/><GANotification/></MachineData><Software><Office><Result>109</Result><Products/><Applications/></Office></Software></GenuineResults>Spsys.log Content: 0x80070002Licensing Data-->Software licensing service version: 6.1.7600.16385Name: Windows(R) 7, HomePremium editionDescription: Windows Operating System - Windows(R) 7, OEM_COA_NSLP channelActivation ID: 586bc076-c93d-429a-afe5-a69fbc644e88Application ID: 55c92734-d682-4d71-983e-d6ec3f16059fExtended PID: 00359-00174-020-633622-02-1033-7600.0000-0202010Installation ID: 019566955441651292836652635580189946696414232302962750Processor Certificate URL: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=88338Machine Certificate URL: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=88339Use License URL: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=88341Product Key Certificate URL: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=88340Partial Product Key: 4D8C7License Status: LicensedRemaining Windows rearm count: 3Trusted time: 01/23/2010 20:55:45HWID Data-->HWID Hash Current: MgAAAAEABAABAAEAAAACAAAAAQABAAEAln3QJgVwEDNU+aKqxLVyHSpImojQl5Jeji4=OEM Activation 1.0 Data-->N/AOEM Activation 2.0 Data-->BIOS valid for OA 2.0: yes, but no SLIC tableWindows marker version: N/AOEMID and OEMTableID Consistent: N/ABIOS Information:ACPI Table Name OEMID Value OEMTableID ValueAPIC 112609 OEMAPICFACP 112609 OEMFACPHPET 112609 OEMHPETMCFG 112609 OEMMCFGOEMB 112609 AMI_OEMOSFR 112609 OEMOSFRSaturday, January 23, 2010 11:36 AM

4) Type: net stop sppsvc (It may ask you if you are sure, select yes)
Note: the Software Protection servive may not be running, this is ok.
5) Type: cd %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareProtectionPlatform

Not sure if the tool does the same thing as if I had gone to Control Panel, Systems page and checks online and validates for me..Thursday, January 28, 2010 3:01 PM

Hi Victoriage,
I hope your problem is solved already. If not, I think you can try to set the Software Protection service to start Automatic (Delay Start) in the Services of Control Panel.
I had this problem before and I did this operation. And for 2 days, no such problem now.
I hope this helps.

"1-888-725-1074 belongs to some hotel..." LOL!!!
that's ridiculous, I called this number trying to active my windows, but some angry lady says they're not Microsoft and getting this kind of phone call all the time!
