what is this mesh.sdf file ? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have installed Mesh mobile on my P3600 and it seems to be running fine...  Except I have run out of (my crappy) internal storage because of a 7Mb mesh.sdf file located in app data/live mesh/data/metadata

I assume this is metadata relevant to all my sync'd files so probably not a good idea to delete it ... Is there any possibility of moving this file to the storage card?

Thanks for this great program btw!

  • yes this is the metadata file and required for sync. right now we support only main memory (not storage card) as the metadata location.

as storage card can get removed, slightly complicated for sync. we are looking at it.

  • This is just stupid. My mesh.sdf file is 9.1MB.... C'mon guys... nobody makes any mobile app with a file sizes that big. There has to be a solution to this....

  • I agree 7MB+ is a little crazy for your average phone.  I have an HTC TyTn II, so can handle the 7MB fairly well, but this could be a deal breaker for many other people that want to use the client.

I've got this 7MB data?/program? file on my phone when I'm only syncing around 4.5 megs of data.
