Scripted windows not working RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Recently I've been having troubles with Microsoft.  At first I couldn't use IE 7 because for some reason it kept telling me any URL I put in wasn't valid.  It was changing all the addresses from http:// to http:///  So anyway, I did a system restore yesterday, and all was going well, IE was working again...but today I logged on, and scripted windows are no longer working for me.  You know, those little windows that pop up when you get an error message, or the "Run Save Cancel" windows that pop up when you try to download something.  Right click save as isn't working for me either.  So now I can't download anything.  I tried to restore the computer to a different point, but there was an error, and when I tried to redo both restores, it didn't help matters.  So I don't know what to do.  When I try open Internet Options under control panel, a white box flashes and closes quickly.  Also, on IE explorer, I can't see the "File Edit Tools Preferences" bar that's usually on top.

I don't know what to do.
