Unable to delete RRS feed

  • Question

  • I've been using Synchtoy with no problems for several months. I have it set to echo several directories on my internal C: drive to an external backup drive E:.  On my last synch attempt, the program was unable to delete 100+ files on the E: drive that had been moved or deleted on the C: drive.

As far as I know, I haven't changed any folder permissions, or done anything that would prevent Synchtoy from writing to the E: drive.

So, why the sudden change in performance?

  • I don' t know if this helps, but the error message reads:

Error: Cannot write to the destination file. Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED)) Deleting E:\Text\aerieas.gif

All of the 100+ errors are the same except for the director/file name.
