Still getting not genuine warning after removing KB3004394 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I started getting "This computer is not running genuine windows" warning after applying the patch KB3004394. I removed KB3004394 manually. After manually removing KB3004394, windows update started working normally, so I used KB3024777 as well though I don't know if it did anything good after KB3004394 had been removed. I rebooted Windows a few times after that, but I am still getting the warning despite the fact that Windows is genuine and system properties do show that it is activated. I hope Microsoft will quickly respond to the continuing problem caused by the patch KB3004394 even after it is removed because this is so annoying and unfair.

  • What AV are you using?

    Try this...

Please disable real-time scanning/protection and reboot

If the notification has disappeared, re-enable real-time scanning and reboot again

If the notification is still present, first check whether the real-time scanning is still switched off.

If so, then re-enable it and post the result.

If it's turned itself back on then tell me or try again using a different disable option.

    Post back with the results
