How do i mark the answers RRS feed

  • You only get this option "Mark as Answer" if:

    1) You're the thread starter (OP - original poster)
    2) You're a moderator and above role of that forum (meaning, a system admin such as myself, etc...)

    3) And it's a Question thread, not a Discussion one.

    Unfortunately, many novice posters get this wrong, with the result that potential responders may ignore the post. And those that don't ignore it will not get credit for answering it.

    IMHO, it is too easy to select Discussion in error (though not as easy as when the selection was a dropdown).

  • I see two of the threads of this user are discussions. This one http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/csharpgeneral/thread/d2ad73c9-be49-4cb7-8919-8f7f9e23204c is absolutely unclear for me. I guess a button - please provide more information - would be appropriate here.
