Evaluation message on my desktop when i have a fully licencened Vista Basic RRS feed

  • Question

  • included below is my diagnostic report and screen shot of the problem I have.

Recently (after installing SP2) I now have the evaluation message on the bottom right hand corner or my desktop. I never seen it before then and my vista is genuine.

Is there anyway or removing the message i have redone the activation with my key and it still remains.

    any help is appreciated

    Andrew Devlin.

  • Hello Andrew,

Curious where did you purchase this copy? Also it appears you do have an evaluation copy.

  • I purchaced it from www.scan.co.uk. I have the original disk but when i changed cases i lost the sticker with the serial on it. I think i may have been hacked and had my serial changed and my original stolen :(. is thier any way to see what keys where used previously on my system because i had a fully licenced vista basic installed for months before this message started appearing

  • Evidently, you have a beta version of Vista Service Pack 2 installed.  Unistall this beta SP and reboot your computer and the evaluation copy message will go away.
