Small Business Server 2003 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I had to remove a client PC from the server.   I then added it back at the server.  However, the client PC will not now pass the Windows Network log on window. I cannot now pass this point on the client PC to reconnect it to the server!

I would really appreciate any help that you can give me on this.

  • Did you try removing that computer from DHCP and Active Directory of Users and Computers, then re-join the domain, and then try to log-in?  If not, I would try this.  We have had this happen many times, and removing the computers registration in DHCP and AD usually solves the issue.  If that doesn't solve your problem, check to see if you are able to log on to the local machine and access the internet as well as your network.  Open the run command and type \\server , server of course being your business server.  You will then recieve a prompt asking for your username and password.  Use administrative credentials to log in and see if you are able to access network resources that way.

    Worth a shot!
