Question regarding Synctoy, two machines and external drive scenario RRS feed

  • Question

  • I will be travelling soon and taking a laptop with me. I would like to "Sync" my "My Documents" Folder between my home computer and the laptop via an external USB HDD that I will be taking.  Can you provide some guidance on this?  So I would want all files from the desktop  synced to the USB hdd.  Then all files from the USB hdd synced to the laptop.  Any changes made on the laptop synced back to the USB hdd.  Then sync those changes back to the desktop at the end of the trip.  Is Synctoy smart enough to handle this?  The laptop is running 64 bit windows 7 and the desktop is 32 bit.  Will that be a problem?  Should I just set up Sync profiles between the desktop machine and the USB hdd and likewise for the USB hdd and the laptop?

Thanks for any help you can provide.
