Missing files RRS feed

  • Question

  • Reciently, i took my comp to a specialist to recover some date off my main (CSmile drive, after XP failed to re-install properly .

I removed my second drive (not because there was anything dodgy on it - i just didnt fancy risking josteling fragile hardware about more than i had too).

Now, i (finally) have XP up and running again, i plugged my second hard drive back in and some files are missing.

Now, let me explain. The second HD has 2 partitions, the first is FAT32 (like my main drive), but the second is NTFS. I can see the files on the first (FAT 32) partition but there appears to be nothing on the second (NTFS) partition - i say "appears", as links to programms on that partition work, but when i explore that partition there are no icons there - although there is over 3GB taken up.

Any ideas on how i can get those icons/files to re-appear?
