Windows not genuine problem? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have Windows 7 Home Premium edition. It WAS activated until a few hours ago. 2 days ago my antivirus was going crazy, so I ran a scan, and I was going to double check it tomorrow, when I had time. Well, I just went to go check my Facebook, when my desktop background was changed to a black screen saying ''Windows not genuine''. I believe that I did not get rid of what I believe to be malware, and it has messed with my registry/windows files. I'm going to double check as soon as I wake up in the morning and get rid of it if I have not already done so. I have never had this problem before, and I can assure that I am the only person using this windows key at the moment. Is there an easy way to fix this? If so, could someone please help me by telling me exactly what to do.

By the way, I am sorry if I have posted in the wrong section. I am very tired at the moment, and kind of annoyed.

    Thank you.
