2013 Outlook client Scripting error Line 1 Char 1 Syntax error RRS feed

  • Question

  • I understand the notion of a syntax error, but I'm having a hard time believing it

    • It only shows in the Outlook client not IE and I do have my IE browsing settings set to show all script errors
    • I've opened up all the scripts in Visual Studio and the IDE doesn't identify any syntax errors

So I'm looking for two things

    1. What settings in IE options will make sure I'm not blocking the error dialog
    2. if it is not a universal problem, what in Outlook client do I need to attend to for such an error

    thanks

  • Have the same problem (Skript Error Line 1, Char 1, Error: Syntax Error). Skript error only occurs in Outlook Client not in Web client. Did you find the reason and a solution for the error?

    Thanks and best regards,

  • Hello,

I experienced similar issue with my clients. I added CRM site to "Compatibility View Settings" list in IE and that resolved my issues. It worth to try that.
