Sub-grid title does not display RRS feed

  • Question

  • I created a sub-grid and selected the option "display label on the form". The label does show up on the form in "designer" mode. I've published and republished. The label does not show up on the form in actual use. Any suggestions? A known bug perhaps?

  • I was also seeing this problem. The issue is that for custom entities, the View Selector of the subgrid is set to Off by default. It seems this overrides the Label and hides the top bar of the grid. Change View Selector to Show All or Show Selected and the label will be shown as well.

I had the same problem in MS CRM 2011 (Subgrid label does not display).

I created test entitity and added n:n relationship to lead.

  •  I don't understand your reference to "Leads with No Titles".  Your cursor is on the Details tab.  Is the issue that something is not displaying in the header as expected.  If you remove the subgrid and publish your changes do you see something different?  Do you see the fields you expect when you select the General section from the left navigation link?

  • Donna if you look at his screenshot you'll see that he gave the subgrid a display title of "test" and that it shows up in designer mode.  But that title is not showing up on the grid in the actual live form.  So basically the user has no way of knowing what the subgrid is actually displaying because there's no title.  This is exactly what I was reporting.

  • Thanks David, I did look at the screenshot but since I haven't tested this I am not as intimately familiar with the expected outcome so I wasn't clear when popping up the various screenshots.  I appreciate the clarification.  Unfortunately, I don't have the time to test this right now to see if I can reproduce it but if two of you have the same experience it is possible that you've uncovered a bug.

If you believe you've uncovered a bug, please create a Connect post to bring it to Microsoft's attention.  Additionally, you can create a Support ticket and if it is discovered to be a 'bug' you will not be charged for the support ticket or it will not reduce your allotment.  I hope this helps.
