adjusting conflict between files in synctoy RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have begun using Synctoy 2.1 in Windows 7 to sync client files in the netbook I take with me for typing the files with my desktop computer in my business office.  So far it is working perfectly, but I am concerned about what would happen if both files showed as changed at the same time.  Would one override the other, and if so, which?  Would I get a message asking me to resolve the conflict?  This would be the best way, but I have seen no suggestion that it would happen?  Also, in a related vein, what if the Synctoy preview shows the files will overwrite in one direction, and I actually want them to overwrite in the other direction?  How can I tell Synctoy to change the direction, just for that instance and that specific file?

  • Sorry, for now, syncToy does not have such conflict resolve option to user.

When there are files changes in exactly same time, if you choose "Check file contents", it will compare the files and do the sync. For the sync direction, it depends on files' identify ID, which the system helps to created.

    Thanks,
