No firewall, renewal (in 18 days) RRS feed

  • According to OneCare and my Live account, my subscription to OneCare expires in 18 days. Before renewing I have been waiting for an entire week (7 days) to pass without a major problem with OneCare that requires me to spend hours trying to figure out how to get the anti-virus to work, how to get the firewall turned back on, etc. Almost made it. This morning OneCare reported that the firewall was turned off. Clicking the [Turn on] button in the main OneCare control window caused the little vicious circle to chase it's tale for 10 minutes and then report that it couldn't turn on the firewall at this time. My computer is therefore now operating without a firewall. After rebooting twice OneCare now reports that it cannot connect to the OneCare circle but the only option I'm given is to renew. Fat chance as long as the program isn't working.


    Yes I'm frustrated. This product simply doesn't work. Is there ANY WAY OF GETTING THE FIREWALL TURNED BACK ON?
