WHS and Windows Live one care RRS feed

    Before installing Windows Live one care I was able to connect to WHS just fine with VISTA SP!. After installing the program I am now unable to connect. One Care did ask me to unblock WHS (I Did) and it is a exception in my firewall, but I still cant connect. I have also turned off the firewall with the same results. I have uninstalled it 3 times each time One care was off my PC I had no problems. Anybody out there know what to do? MS has been no help! Thanks Stephen

    Just for clarification, did you install OneCare on your server or client?  If on the client, can you contact the server at all (through the network shares, open the Console, through the website, etc)?

    In the Home Networking technical brief you'll find a list of the ports that Windows Home Server uses for various purposes, along with the required scopes. Could you confirm that A) you're only running one firewall on your client PC, andB) that all the noted ports are set correctly in it?
    I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)
