reactivating vista home premium OEM after installing new hardware RRS feed

  • Question

  •

I recently installed a new motherboard, CPU, and RAM into my Vista PC, but now I cannot activate the OS. How do I fix this? The only answers I have found online are that I need to buy a new license and throw out my old copy of vista. I have NO PLANS to do this! I called micosoft, told them my situation, and gave them my product key, but the moment they discovered I was an OEM user, they said they cannot help me any further (porbbaly because I simply don't matter tothem for paying less for thei product). What can I do in this situation???
