  • snake1955,

Our tools for analyzing the diagnostic report indicate that the Windows XP Home is genuine.

Please visit the website for validating Windows XP :

Allow the scripts to run and fix any errors that may come up.

If you are still having issues, please repost back into this thread.

  • The diagnostic tool passed on everything. However, when I try to validate windows, i get "You have encountered an unknown error. Please contact your local product support team for further assistance with this issue. [0x80080299]. I have looked that up and still can't get anywhere. Could a virus cause this issue? I ran spybot with the latest updates and I have avast antivirus loaded on my os, but when it says all clear and I go to the web, a couple adwares still pop up.
