Checkpoint FW disconnects calls bacause of too many SIP re-invites RRS feed

  • Question

  • Within our network we have Checkpoint firewalls. After the latest FW software-upgrade we discovered that all Communicator calls dropped after 90 seconds. This happens because the Checkpoint Smart Defense won´t allow more than three SIP re-invites. It seems that a communicator call (no matter if it is between Communicator clients or towards PBX) makes two SIP re-invites in the beginning of the call and after 90 seconds another two re-invites. How do I change this ? The FW-guys raised the amount to 10 and the calls last for 5 minutes before they drop.

I can raise the amount of allowed re-invites even more but I can´t disable the feature in Checkpoint.
