Web Core Developement Benefits ? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Greetings,

I'm working on an intranet project and I noticed the Web Server Core Developement with IIS and I'm asking what is the benefits from loading a small version of IIS in my NT service  rather than doing a c# application inside IIS. knowing that I already followed some tutorials and succeded to run the service with the web core.

The question is .. beside the configuration file .. can I access IIS functions like I do in ISAPI to send responses myself and control the requests ?

While the Server Library is loaded dynamically from a Local System NT server, does it mean that I don't have to set the NTFS permissions in my folders when uploading or writting in a a new file ?

    thank you in advance.

P.S: I use C/C#/C++ with no problem so even a managed answer/solution will be apreciated.
