A view is not linked to a security role, an entire entity is linked to a security role.
Can you check your custom security role ? What is the level of privilege for this entity ?
You have to give the minimum privilege for an entity (User for example : An user with this security role can only see his own record)

Hey,
What is your security role ? Is it a specific security role or an out of the box one ?
You have to give permission (in the security role panel) on the line : User interface configuration (don't remember the exact name) in the main records tab. (Security roles are in Settings / Administration / Security roles)
And in the line regarding the entity (here Payroll schedules), give some privileges.

I have the roles of System Administrator and System Customizer, the role shown in the screenshot is a custom role. But how would a role be applied to a view? Thanks!Friday, July 25, 2014 3:10 PM
