Launchpad settings RRS feed

  • Question

  • In the Launchpad settings there are 3 options for "Scope of Alerts to be Presented"

    None
    Local only
    Local and Network

Local and Network is greyed out on all my PCs. Does anyone know why this is? I want all alerts to be shown on one of my PCs but I cannot set this.

  • Hi,

From the Dashboard, Users, select "View the account properties".
From there you can check "User can view network alerts".

  • I've got that checked on the dashboard for my user account, and still the option of viewing all alerts is not available.  It used to be, I'm sure.

I've tried disabling network alerts then re-enabling it to see if it flushes out, but that's not working either.

    Any ideas?

I don't know if it's related, but I can no longer connect to this PC via remote web access (and the media library via remote access barely works), so something's not right somewhere.

  • Hi,

I have had the same problem with the lauchpad, but only on one PC.  The workaround I came up with involves closing Launchpad completely (including the tray app) and restarting it once as administrator:

    1) Close the launchpad on the screen

    2) Close the launchpad system tray application (right click and "Exit Launchpad")

    3) Find the Launchpad application in the start menu, right click on the icon and "Run as Administrator"

    4) Check the Launchpad settings, and you will see that the Local and Network alert option is available again

I don't why I need to do this, but every few weeks, I lose network alerts.
