External Web Farm FQDN same with External FQDN of Access Edge or Web Conferencing Edge RRS feed

    Hi there,

    Has anyone here tried using the same external FQDN for the reverse proxy (external web farm URL) and the access edge role or the web conf edge role?

    example #1 my externalwebfarmfqdn is sip.domain.com which is the same as my access edge role (sip.domain.com)?

    or

    example #2, my externalwebfarmfqdn is webconf.domain.com which is the same as my web conf edge role (webconf.domain.com)?

    Will this work?

    Anyways, assuming everything works fine from external or remote users (SIP and A/V conferencing)... except for the Live Meeting.

    Since the Access Edge Proxy and Reverse Proxy role are part of separate products (OCS and typically ISA Server) they are not collocatable on the same server.  Is there a reason you don't want to use separate DNS records for each role?
