Default admin access to Acer Aspirehome Server RRS feed

  • Question

  • I can get my network to now recognize the home server but installation cannot complete due to the server and client not having the time and date sync'd.  I can remote in from a webpage but I haven't been able to set admin passwords and usernames.  Is there a default login from WHS that would give me access so I can sync the date and time on the server?

    Thanks,

  • No, there's no default admin. You have to finish the installation.
What you have you done during setup? I recommend that you do a factory reset and reinstall again.

  • It won't let me finish the install.  When it gets to a certain point it asks for the admin password at the WHS login screen.  After that it gives me the error message that the date and time are significantly different and this computer cannot connect to the network.  I'll try what you suggest.

  • Martin,

Tried what you suggested no success.  The install program still asks for a password and when I just try to bypass it gives me the "time and date differ significantly...this computer cannot connect to your network".  Any other ideas?

    Thanks,

    Richard

  • Just to be sure: The password screen is the screen after you gaveyour server a name (Like this one here http://mswhs.files.wordpress.com/2009/07/12.jpg).

What have you entered for the server name? And how have you bypassed the password entry?
