I cannot find any real information on this.

I'm installing on a Windows MediaCenter PC with service pack 2.  WHS connector has installed fine on my other MediaCenter PC, XP64-bit and Vista 64-bit.  I've check hard drives, network connections, MS's connector troubleshooting guide and all check out.  WHS has Power Pack 2 installed.  I can map drives from WHS on the MediaCenter PC I'm trying to install the connector.

  • And you have enough free space on your system drive?

Check the two log files here:
    C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows Home Server\logs\HomeServerClientSetup.log
    C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows Home Server\logs\HomeServerClientMsi.log

Maybe you find some more information about your problem.

  • Neither log file is being created.  There is 18gig free space on the hard drive of the computer it is being installed on.
