error when adding an additional SIP domain using "Configure Server" RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm trying to add an additional SIP domain using the "Configure Server" option in setup but I get failure code 0xC3EC7D04 on the "Process global SIP domains" action. What does this mean?

    Thanks

  • I got round this by starting Office Communications server, then right clicking the Forest - example.com and selecting Properties then Global Properties. Hit the Add button and typed in the SIP domain.

  • I'm getting the same error message during the initial configuration.

The setup works fine when I only use my local AD dns name "company.local" in the sip domain.  This is the actual domain that has AD associated with it.

When I attempt to add a non AD controlled domain, such as an external pointer DNS domain like "company.com"  as a sip domain, I get this message.

  • Same as me, it works fine for our AD domain.
