Does the client trial run out? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I have installed OCS2007 server and upgraded to the full version.

Does the client 'trial' run out if used in conjunction with the full version server? As I could not see anywhere to put in a lisence key during the install like there was in 2005.  If it does run out, how do I upgrade the client to the full version?

You can achieve auto-install thru Group Policy or Microsoft System Management Server.

Or you can run a batch file to install Communicator in quite mode: msiexec /qn /i Communicator.msi

This will Install / Upgrade for you !!!

Thanks for your reply but it doesn't answer the question.

We have installed the client which they call a 180 day trial.  However there is no option during the install to put in a serial key like there was in version 2005.  Now that we have installed 2007 and made the server the full version, how do you upgrade the communicator 2007 trial to the full version, or do you not need to?

  • Anyone know the answer to this, please?  I can't get a straight answer from MS and this question is the last thing preventing roll-out.
