Microsoft Edge Not Visiting Links RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I upgraded to Windows 10 last night and I had an issue with Microsoft's new web browser called Microsoft Edge. I've been wanting to try this program out so much lately, but it failed to work. Whenever I input a site URL in the URL section of the browser, nothing happens. I'm not the only one experiencing this problem, I've seen 10 posts about this issue so far...and I'm sure that there are hundreds of more. If you're finding this hard to understand, here's a video (this is not my video, I found this on the internet, and it's the EXACT same issue that i have myself)

What can I do? I've contacted the tech support of Microsoft, and the level 1 technician was unable to do anything! Do I have to wait for a patch to release? Or is this just a problem with my PC? There's no way to reinstall Microsoft Edge. Please come back to me. Thank you!

  • I have the same issue as well. But this is only on some laptops and not all. I upgraded 5 laptops yesterday for my family members and this happens in just 2 of these.

I ran the SFC/SCANNOW but while this tells me there are corrupt files, it cannot fix them while the system is offline.

    C:\WINDOWS\system32>sfc/scannow

Beginning system scan.  This process will take some time.

Beginning verification phase of system scan.
    Verification 100% complete.

Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For
example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. Note that logging is currently not supported in offline servicing scenarios.

I am looking for a way to fix this too.
