  • Question

  •  Hi all, please I'm facing a problem since I have reset all browser settings 4 days ago: now it is asking me to convalidate my OfficeXP. I followed all instructions but now I'm not able to do anything more.
Of course the activation program on my local PC tell me that "Office is just activated"
    thanks,
    Camillo

  • Thanks Antron for you quick reply!

Please I would give you additional informations. My icon tray shows an alert * relating activation of microsoft Office.
I executed the activation of MS Windows, but Windows is still activated (the same reported by MS Office activation tool for my installed Office XP products...).
I'm using Office XP (and the operating system) on my PC since some years!
Only some days ago, after resetting Internet Explorer (including the disactivation of all activeX controls), it appears this new icon alert on system tray. But I cannot eliminate!
If you have others suggestions.... or last chance I will call my local MS

  • Hello Camillop,

Thank you for visiting the Microsoft Office Genuine Advantage (OGA) program forum.  Your issue is related to Windows Product Activation.  In an attempt to assist I would like to provide some information which may or may not help.

    From the Desktop:

    1.

Click Start,  All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and then Activate Windows.

Or, click the Windows Activation icon in the taskbar notification area next to the clock.

    2.

Click Yes, I want to telephone a customer service representative to activate Windows now.

    3.

Click Read the Windows Product Activation Privacy Statement, click Back, and then click Next.

    4.

Follow the steps in the “Activate Windows by phone” dialog box, and then click Next.

Note The number appears now and differs based on the location that you select.

    5.

When activation is completed and you receive the following message:

You have successfully activated your copy of Windows

    Then click OK.
