I bought windows home premium awhile ago when it first came out, now just bought a netbook with windows 7 starter and I am fast finding out doesn't do much of anything can I use the activaton key or have to shell out even more money or install linux like I did on my older desktop.Saturday, April 2, 2011 2:10 AM

I'm sorry I forgot to mention I installed windows 7 on my vista computer already which I want to keep. I think I have to buy another key. which I don't want to do.thank you

You can't buy a key. You get a key when you buy Windows.

You can use a retail (boxed) Windows 7 Home Premium dvd and product key to upgrade from Windows 7 Starter to HP.
