Microsoft Massage Queuing Service in OCS 2007 EE RRS feed

  • Hi to All,

    May i know what's MMQS (Microsoft Massage Queuing Service) and why it requires for OCS, wht does it do?

    It asks me while running Add Server Role in OCS 2007 EE under Deploy Expanded Topology...

    and what am i suppose to do now?????????/

  • The Message Queuing Service is only required on an OCS Front-End Server if you plan to use the Monitoring/Archiving Server roles in OCS (alternatively the Archiving/CDR or Monitoring roles in 2007/2007 R2).  For example, the MMQS is how IMs are gathered from FE serves for archiving.
